School Logos and Colors

The team directory contains 138 programs from the 2026 FBS roster. School names, logos, colors, and current conference labels are sourced from ESPN’s team directory. Logo artwork is displayed from ESPN’s image CDN; marks belong to their respective schools. Current branding and directory membership are separate from historical ballot coverage.

Published AP Data

We collect the individual ballots and aggregate results displayed on AP’s public football poll page after publication. AP does not provide a supported API for this project. Collection uses the website’s public week and voter controls, and imports require review. Poll labels follow AP’s website; another provider may number weeks differently.

Coverage is limited to the polls listed above. Earlier seasons and basketball ballots have not been imported. A short archive can show a weekly difference, but cannot establish a lasting voting tendency.

Historical Sources Under Review

College Poll Tracker has public historical ballot pages. This project has not imported its archive; AP permission does not itself establish access to another site’s exports.

College Poll Archive provides extensive aggregate poll history. College Football Data has structured aggregate rankings; that does not supply the individual voter choices needed for this product.

How an Import Earns Trust

Each complete ballot must contain 25 unique teams and ranks. The importer checks canonical identities, electorate size, receiving-votes coverage, point totals, first-place votes, and tied ranks. Raw source bytes and a SHA-256 hash are retained. Uncertain identities and conflicting corrections require review.

Team records displayed by the source are not used to infer omitted rankings. An unranked team stays NR, with inclusion measured separately from rank placement. Source review: September 15, 2026.
